When i posted last it was a friday night and i knew i was not playing in the game that night. We ended up loosing that game 6-2 i think. We did not play well at all, but the silver lining of not getting to play was i had the opportunity to spend time with my Mom and Carol Affolter for the whole evening. We sat together and talked and it was blast. It did me good to see them and chat with both of them. After our loss friday night i got a chance to play on saturday. I was very thankful for that because Carol and my Mum had traveled all that way to see me and i wanted them to have a chance to see me play. Although i was playing forward that night i was still excited to get the opportunity to play. It was an excellent game and our team was doing well, the attitudes on the bench were excellent and it was a great atmosphere. We were tied with Buffalo 2-2 going into the last minute of play and we ended up scoring with 17 seconds left to go up 3-2. We were so excited and we knew we just had to hold them off for 17 seconds to win the game. However, they ended up scoring with 2 seconds left to tie the game back up, it was disappointing to say the least. We then went into overtime but the game ended up in a tie. After the game my coach told me that he thought i did a good job playing forward that night and i told him thanks. I got close to scoring a goal which would of been nice.
After that weekend we went back to work the following week in practice and i think overall we had a good week of practies. In addition to practice we also started classes this past week and i also started back working at the library again, so that was a bit of an adjustment. I met with some challenges this week but the Lord was so faithful to me throughout the whole week. He supplied me with His perfect and practical wisdom and overall it was a great week. This past weekend (28th & 29th) we played Plattsburgh and Potsdam. Plattsburgh is ranked 7th in the nation and they are always a good team. As i was going through the week i simply asked the Lord for a miracle this weekend. I just asked Him for it and then i said i know that you hear me Father and i just heard Him say, prepare for a miracle. Thursday after practice i found out that i was not playing friday and again i was not too happy. We went to Plattsburgh friday night and we ended up winning 2-0! It has been over 6 years or something since our school beat Plattsburgh in their rink and also shut them out. It was amazing, totally a miracle from the Lord. I told a teammat of mine after the game and he asked me to ask the Lord that he would get a goal the next day.. and that we would win... So i told him i would ask the Lord. The next day we played Potsdam and the coach kept the lineup the same, and guess what? We won that game too, i asked the Lord for another miracle and he did it. And guess what else? I prayed for my teammate to score and he ended up scoring the game winning overtime goal! It was awesome! I told him afterwards to thank the Lord, and he said "you prayed?!" and i said "yep! see what He can do?!".
It was so much fun this weekend. Winning those 2 games gave us a chance to make the playoffs and we are heading in the right direction. The Lord is totally for us and He showed us that this weekend. I do hope to play this upcoming weekend and help contribute on the ice. But i will work hard this week in practice totally unto the Lord and watch Him do it. I feel like i could write more but i have written so much already.
I hope you all are enjoying your day and see how faithful and good the Lord is to you each and everyday. I will update again after the games this weekend..
Thanks for reading!
